I agree with what you said in regards to the cohort.
At the risk of sounding elitist, I struggle with the idea that someone who got 70 can study the same material at the same speed and proficiency as someone who got high 90s and is studying at a g08 uni...
I have always wanted to know, are the BComs from lower tier Australian unis (ie non g8) comparable to the ones offered by their more reputable counterparts? It seems like most of us tend to rank them according to their UAI/ENTER.
The courses from the 'inferior' unis sound quite comprehensive...
Wow. I am in the same position as you, minus the HD average. Here is my story:
- final semester of BCom (economics, finance) at unimelb
- haven't secured a grad position
- I am not the ultra competitive corporate ladder climbing type
- I want to stay at uni, I don't feel like I have made...
Yeah people are diverse in terms of race, socioeconomic background, etc. But to me it seems like high school all over again. designer clothing, facebook photos, binge drinking... its still about popularity and feeling 'accepted'. There isn't as much individuality as I thought there would be.
