Well at my school you have to do 12 units unless you go through a long process of interviews and such but really I do need maths just IN my school report. Also I have 16 studies as there are no 4 unit classes. But I do agree with what you're saying and if it goes that badly I will drop it, not...

LOL. Considering Cranbrook teach it to us, and the Leading Edge textbook include it you are most definitely allowed to use it as your Case Study. Really you can do a Case Study on any country other than Australia. Of course the BRIC's are recomended as they have the most content.

The scalings a published every year. But just use the 2003 Scalings as they have all changed minimally since then. http://boredofstudies.org/scaledmeans.php So PDHPE does not have the best scaling but as everyone above said, just do well in all your subjects and scaling doesn't matter.

ANU is ranked 16th in the world every year. Macquarie..... not so much..... I suppose if you are set on transferring however you might like to consider staying in Sydney. If it was me I would visit ANU and see if I liked it before I made any rash decisions.

Stick with Advanced. You will probably find yourself working harder for Standard than you would be for Advanced if you are trying to attain your desired UAI. The marking scheme for Standard English is quite tough, they give out VERY few Band 6's. Advanced was a bit of a bore with the poetry...
