Like Neha Sharma said, your personal response/interpretation should be the basis of your essay. To come up with your interpretation a good place to start is to look at why you think the tragedy occured... there are several themes/motifs throughout the play to choose from. eg. power, justice...
I agree with mc88. You must make your own reading, but that can stem from other specific readings and you could mention how your reading was influenced by other ones. ie. how valid you think other interpretations of the play are.
