Minimalism is boring...it is very 'minimal' ummm Philip Glass is a Minimalist composer...'Einstein on the Beach' shows this absolute boringness in the exploration of music during the emergence of the style to the present day. the end. ps. I hate Minimalism. :)

depends on what texts within the elective you are studying, see the 'Wilds' depicted in 'Blade Runner' and '1984' are significantly different to those depicted in 'An Imaginary Life' and Wordsworth's Poetry...etc. etc.
nah Piano is the hardest cos there are sooooo many people who play Piano for HSC performance, both 2U and Ext. so yeah...I've got my L.Mus in Viola and my A.Mus in Piano :) but I like composition much better...it's much more interesting than just doing performance after performance...so much...
It's the hardest instrument to do well in because so many people are pianist's, and let's face it...if you were an HSC marker and you listened to say 50 ppl play piano pieces...it would become really difficult to differentiate them. Basically you MUST stand out, so don't choose cliche pieces :D

I just did my Ext Music assessment, I had to hand in my composition portfolio to date etc. generally there are two internal assessments a year for Ext, both are 50%. But some schools do things differently. I'd say for you, you'd have to perform your works...and then perform them again later in...
