hey people, i have an essay on monday about australias involvement in ww1, and how 'we' have been affected. i just needed some help on the following points as im making some notes the diggers experience, the initial enthusiasm and subsequent reaction to the war by the australian people explain...

i knew i didn't do well in my half-yearly exams so i didn't cry. But i handed in an English essay thinking it was top stuff... got it back & i completely failed... i cryed then because i REEEAAAAALLLLY want to do well in english :S meh oh well, i'm not even in year 12 argh!! But yea im a stress...

i sort of understand it better... although i do not understand it totally, or with complete confidence. The artist blames the white league & the Klan for creating conditions "worse than slavery" for freed blacks. So... the artist opposes the slavery, and cruelty shown towards blacks...??
