what kind of maths should 1st years expect? how hard is it compared to high school's 4 unit maths?

yeh, i dont know if im right here, but the hydrogen spectrum led to the postulates, and from the postulates bohr arrived at the empirical equation for hydrogen spectrum...its like one is the reverse of the other. and i asked the hsc advice line, they said they 'do overlap'.
