i c...hmm ive neglected to mention that i go to usyd and :rolleyes: was thinking of cross-institutional study for science and get units credited to usyd if they'll let me. The thing is that for usyd, they dont offer any 2nd year units..only 1st year...

Does UNSW offer science units (preferably 2nd year units) during the summer? And if so where can I apply? my friend is studying chemistry the summer session but what other units are on offer? Any help including links would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You should do 2unit..its not too bad. General math doesnt have calculus and its assumed in many courses at usyd, although statistics at usyd will be taught on the assumption u haven't done it before because its not it the 2 unit course...hope this helps

and i read that the marks are multiplied by 0.8 to 1.2 until the mark distribution closely matches this, so scaling doesnt change the raw order of canditates

hey, the number of HD's a course gives out depends on the quality of the cohort and the number of ppl who are doing the course. Raw marks are then scaled according the the mark distribution policy. In Usyd for first year subjects 2-5% can be allocated HD's. There is a document floating around...
