In the course outline and all the unsw websites, it says "Accounting and Financial Management 1A and 1B are part of the integrated first-year accounting program..." So does this mean that it can't be taken in second year after completing 1A in first year?

Haha a bit. It's just that the majors that are available such as quantitative risk, applied maths and pure maths seem interesting. Or could i do the same courses under the 4 year BCom/BSc degree?

Shadowdude, so what would the honours year involve? I'm not too familiar with it but I've heard that you undertake some research and write a thesis or do a project?

Oh I forgot to mention, I'm thinking of working in the finance/banking industry
