I've heard that the school can't stop you, provided that they have enough people for a class and that they offer the course. Is this this true? Can you list sources? Possibly gov/education websites. Thanks,

Getting a band 5+ wouldn't be hard. It's just the fucking in-school assessment essays, i think teachers blindly mark them. One teacher in the school was given a bundle to mark, a week later he was regiven the same bundle and the marks differed by 5-10/20. (won't say who)

What can i do if they don't allow me to get into the advanced english course? I heard that you could call the department. English head teacher said that only 33 students are allowed to do it (As and Bs). She then went on to say that there are only 3 classes.
